On Tumblr, Lemons, Bacteria and Tumblr Again
Nov 20th
I’m writing this post and I’m kinda wobbly right now. I just woke up after such a “great” ["yihee"] day. It’s 7 in the evening by the way and the rain just started to bash earth. Finally I am back here where I really should be hanging around, my dear bloggy blog blog.
Why say that? For the last few days (considered time immemorial), I’ve been sticking my nose on a place we call Tumblr. Tumblr is a social network fad thing where posting is easy and updating is done in a whiplash, blah. It’s cool, really. I was on Tumblr since last year but got active only days ago. I don’t know why my system chose that. Hmm, I do. There are very [add very, and then very again] many COOL people on Tumblr. Can I conclude that Tumblr is swarmed with good-looking people (sorry Plurk)? They have a lot to tell and with sense. I learn a lot from them even though most of them come from my age group. I’ve had many jokes, new information, etc. from these amazing personalities. But I stopped using Tumblr after a short while. I stopped for a reason and that is not to be divulged.
You can find the reason somewhere that marks the end.
Here are some of my Tumblr (too simple) creations. Just created out of boredom and the giddiness to butt in.

Pre-Visayas Youth Summit
Nov 18th
Before I begin, lemme share this Tumblr creation of mine first:

It was Alice Roosevelt Longworth who said the quotation and isn’t she right? A quick note, the youth are those ones still full of passion and the initiative to change what has to be changed. We haven’t been to many bumps as much as the adults have faced; we may lack experience but we have the strong will power. And we know we can bring about as much good change to the world. We can.
In line with that, there will be a Pre-Visayas Youth Summit on December 12 & 13 [see details on poster], a two-day activity which aims to reach out to youth groups in the Visayas region [Philippines] in response to the challenges of our changing times. Take note however that this is only a pre-summit and therefore only two representatives from each organization can be accommodated in the said event. This event is brought to you by the Aboitiz Leaders of Excellence. Read the rest of this entry »
Experience Reality Wedding Video Style With Videographer Buddy Gancenia
Nov 16th
Have you ever had the chance to watch QTV Channels’ reality wedding show entitled “Here Comes the Bride” before? It is really a reality TV show program for couples that are entitled to a free grand wedding if they win. But the show’s over now because it wasn’t really a hit.
Guess people can’t relate eh?
How about if you want to experience the same, a reality TV show/video feeling for your wedding? Wouldn’t that be a good idea? Of course. Plus, it would be made possible by reality wedding videographer Buddy Gancenia. Buddy Gancenia is a corporate, events, and wedding videographer and is the number one wedding videographer in the Philippines. He has been covering various weddings from ordinary people to those with positions in society. Gancenia’s wedding video services will guarantee that you get a very memorable wedding, plus it is stored in multimedia — one that you could look back to solidly many years out far. MTV Emerge Brings Us Philippines’ Newest Music Talents
Nov 13th
Philippines’ music industry is starting to boom rise. Every now and then we discover a lot of new musical talents; some go as far as the international music scene. And yes, we want more. As we slowly emerge into the outskirts of our own country’s tune, we also feel the great need to start supporting more and more great talents that could only not let us say “wow” but also could make us proud of them and our being Filipino.
With all this, we thank the existence of MTV Emerge. MTV Emerge is a platform for unsigned music talent in the Philippines to showcase their work and to be given an opportunity to win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music (to be discussed further below). MTV Emerge is an MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration. They are together in scouting for the hottest unsigned music talents from all genres of music, may it be rock, pop, indie, hip-hop, R&B, metal, ballad, solo artists, DJs and a lot more. It is also considered as an online community where each one of us can discover fresh local music artists.
Participants can register and upload their profiles, photos and original music on the MTV Emerge website to get discovered. And there are beautiful prizes at stake. After a public voting process, seven grand winners will be selected. And that would be on November 20, 2009. Selection of winners will be made by a panel of judges which includes our very own Apl.de.Ap, who is the founder of Jeepney music and famous for his group, the Black Eyed Peas. I’m Now Using Windows 7 Pro
Nov 11th
Yes, goodbye my Windows Vista, hello genuine Windows 7 Professional! Just this morning, I installed Windows 7 on my laptop. I’ve been hoping for this day to come since my boring semestral break after I also tried my luck on Ubuntu. But I got no installer. I got a license though, genuine and free! Thanks to MSDN Academic Alliance Program for that.
I know I am too late in sharing all these happiness (since a lot are now Windows 7 geekos and I am left behind) but the heck, I’m still gonna post screen shots.
Basically my user experience of Windows 7 is just similar to Windows Vista (I have used Starter Pack, Home Basic and Home Premium before). But Windows 7 is undeniably faster and more stable (I meant by that, less crashing and hanging). But using the eyes as a judge, Windows 7 bags the grand prize.
The themes are cool. Really. I’m using the Characters theme now. I also downloaded from the Microsoft site themes such as Happiness Factory and Zune Characters. Really cool.
