Heroes Season 4 – Orientation and Jump Push Fall

Update: October 26, 2009 Images are now not available because of server bug down last week.

Heroes Season 4 is here! And with my very busy schedule, who says I have no right to watch one of my favorite television series? Just last night, I watched Chapter 5 of Heroes, now in Season 4. I downloaded the first two episodes. Episode 1 is titled Orientation; Episode 2, Jump Push Fall.

What keeps me attached to Heroes, even though I heard it’s receiving lower ratings in USA compared to Chuck (my sister watches this) and CSI, is still the series’ theme. Though I may be a bit confused now of the outcome from the last season and the addition of new twists, I would still be watching every bit of Heroes. I have to.

I won’t be really giving out the plot of the first two episodes here. I have not much time to do so. I’ll just be dropping some points of what’s new and what’s happening in Heroes Season 4 Episode 1 and 2. Read the rest of this entry »

One Goal

One Goal“. That’s one of the phrases that’s been ringing on my head nowadays just to get me focused. Our teacher in Software Engineering, apparently the one that’s keeping us super busy at the moment, told us this: that we should have one goal while in college, and that is  to finish our studies. But because of all this busyness that (we) I am experiencing, I’ve been also missing on a lot of things lately.

First, Cebu Bloggers Society. I am already and will be missing on a lot of activities and events. That’s not because I don’t want to attend but at times like these, I just can’t. I can’t help but just miss every event there is for us. I know there are a couple of new members and I haven’t known any of them yet (except one in McDo). I hope I will get to know them on Philippine Blog Awards though (if I can go). ;-) I will also be skipping the Cebu-wide Aboitiz projects tour. I really want to go but I CANNOT. Aaaargh.

Happy peopleMy weekends. Apparently, the weekend concept is out for now. My last two Sundays were spent at school. I have no day for my rest anymore. I have no rest anymore. I sleep late, wake up early and spend the whole day thinking and solving and coding… everything.

If everything will go on as planned, this semester will end on October 18, 2009, the day I will be back to my life before this lifeless life — and it would be Philippine Blog Awards 2009 (Cebu). I just hope I could attend the event. I would feel like being reunited again with my blogger friends during this day. Read the rest of this entry »

Jollibee Launches New Chicken Barbecue in Cebu

September 15, 2009 – I was one of those who attended Jollibee’s launch of their newest product, Jollibee Chicken Barbecue, in Jollibee Guadalupe in Cebu City. So what is this Jollibee Chicken Barbecue by the way? In their press release, it is stated that:

With the Jollibee Chicken Barbecue, Jollibee takes a Filipino gastronomic classic and improves upon it, creating the perfect version of the dish. Made only from generous premium chicken cuts, it uses a special marinade made from top secret ingredients which endows it with that mouth-watering barbecue taste. Soaked long enough for the flavor to thoroughly seep in, it also utilizes a special culinary technique that allows it to be thoroughly cooked while still remaining juicy and tender. Furthermore, the Jollibee Chicken Barbecue is served with its perfect accompaniments—a delicious barbecue dipping sauce and steaming java rice—for a truly memorable dining experience.

Basically, Jollibee’s launching of this new product aims to bring the Filipino spirit when it comes to fast food. A big milestone for them since most fast food chains serve American-style food. This is what you call an “innovation” in the fast food industry. Read the rest of this entry »

Wish I Could Go Back To The TV Time

I’m temporarily back after a sudden hiatus. But this is temporary. Anyways, I just realized how busy I am already nowadays. I wasn’t able to foresee the degree of this busyness I am experiencing right now. My time’s all sucked up into making projects, writing lengthy documentations and coding pages. Because of all of this, I have no life. I have no life because I don’t slack in the mall anymore, I don’t open my Google Reader anymore, I can’t blog hop, I can’t chat with people and I can’t watch TV.

Just last night while talking to a classmate on the phone regarding the integration of our projects into one, I notice my sister watching a cool movie — The Chronicles of Narnia -  Prince Caspian. Human instinct upon seeing a good movie is to stay where they are and watch (just like when you’re in the mall and you see a good movie played in the stack of wide-screen TV’s). So I did. And I was amazed of the battle scenes in the movie (When Caspian’s troop attacked the castle) . But I realized I can’t stay long and have to go back to my room and continue creating the design specification of our module. So I had to kill joy and embrace work. Read the rest of this entry »

What Is Your Web Hosting Provider?

Web hosting – a good topic of discussion. Since probably most of my readers and droppers-by here are also bloggers, talks about web hosting wouldn’t be much of a hard thing to do. 5mc6a8pry7

I am currently on a very affordable web host right now. But luckily, I haven’t encountered any problems lately from them and their servers (please let not this sentence be jinxed). I have no qualms as of the moment except that their support, both e-mail and live, is shut off. They’re holding my domain (stupid me) and that is a big problem. The only way to contact them is through the phone. And they’re in the USA and I’m in the Philippines. Thank God for YM (but I made no attempts whatsoever calling them yet).

Anyways, for those of you who are also on paid hosting for their WordPress, Drupal or Joomla blogs, can I ask you these questions? Read the rest of this entry »
