Join AyosDito.ph’s Connect & Win Promo to win gadgets and P1,000,000

AyosDito.ph is a website tailored specifically for Pinoys to do online buying and selling. I have had my experiences of using AyosDito.ph in the past when I was scouring for a second-hand iPhone (link to an ad that interests me now; should I upgrade to an iPhone 4?). I also used it to find some exercise machines, accessories, laptops and much more. Aside from convenience, it is location-friendly so you can limit your search to an area near you (to avoid shipping expenditures). Here’s I was able to use AyosDito in the past. If I was looking for an item, I usually hit up several online selling sites and forums and AyosDito.ph is one of them. I go to the home page where you can see our Philippine map and hit up Central Visayas to limit my search within near me (Cebu). I type in the item that I’m looking and click search. What makes AyosDito nice is that it is simple, easy to understand and use and reliable. If you also had experiences with using AyosDito to buy and sell (I haven’t tried posting an ad though), share it in the comments section below. :)

AyosDito.ph has also just recently launched a new feature for buyers and sellers, the AyosDito Connect. This new feature allows you to log-in to AyosDito using your Facebook account. This means you get personalized experience in using the site and see if you have common seller friends.

Together with the launch of this new AyosDito expansion is a contest wherein one could grab an iPad 2, an iPhone 4 or a million pesos. A total of 30 iPad 2′s, 20 iPhone 4′s and P1,000,000 cash will be given away in AyosDito’s Connect and Win promo! There will be 10 weekly draws and of course, a grand draw for the P1,000,000 prize.

Update 004: Wounded

On my way to work. Out of sheer bad luck?

Also my sister’s very messy room on the background.

Exploring what’s new with Apple’s iOS5

Everyone’s been excited with the coming of Apple’s iOS5, including me. I wasn’t anticipating the release of a “new iPhone” (which turned out to be the still-amazing iPhone 4S). Instead, I was really hyped about the new features bundled in iOS5.

Apple released iOS to the public last October 12. In the Philippines, the exact release time was 1AM of October 13. I also woke up to update my phone, ahem, at 1AM. I won’t talk about the trouble I went through to update my iPhone (imagine being groggy while trying to update your phone) but the most important thing is that, here I am now, using iOS5 on my phone.

The features of iOS5 may not be new to this world. Android users will attest to that. But as I’ve always told people (and myself), iOS/Apple/iPhone will always deliver some kind of “magic” that the Android platform cannot.

So here are some of the features of iOS5 available for the iPhone 4S’s way older brother, the iPhone 3GS.

Notification Center

The new Notification Center is the most obvious new feature that iOS holds. Aside from its usual “notifying” job, I can also let sit my messages, emails and updates there for a while for future checking. It’s less annoying than the blue popup notification of the past. Really, really useful. Weather and stocks display comes in the default but as I am no businessman, I removed Stocks from there. You can also set which apps can notify you through the Notification Center, how and how many. Don’t worry, the old blue popup notification can still be summoned in iOS5.
