Victory is fleeting, but defeat is eternal.
Even with work and some other stuff, I was able to finish Thomas Sniegoski’s The Fallen: End of Days, 3rd book of the Fallen series, in a span of less than a week. It was fast, and I know I’m supposed to savor the book’s contents but it was exciting nonetheless, and thus made me read faster and faster. Yet, it only lead me to a budding question mark.
An excerpt from the Epilogue:
The Morningstar.
But now the body belonged to him, and Lucifer was no more.
“Bow before me,” he proclaimed in a voice that rumbled like thunder.
“Bow your heads before Satan–the Darkstar–
“The Lord of Shadows.”
THE END?
Surprisingly, the book’s ending is with a question mark. Before the book was released, I was already on the mind set that End of Days will be the last of the series. But then the book title tricked me into thinking it so. The book could very well have a sequel. What with the question mark.

The Fallen: End of Days continues with the Nephilim Aaron’s quest in ridding the world of evil. He, together with his father Lucifer, creates a team of Nephilim to help get rid of foul monsters that are slowly emerging now that the Powers are gone. But a more pressing matter came at hand when they learned that a small group of Powers angels were left by Verchiel to call on the end of days. Lead by Geburah, they sought on the instrument that could call the only angel that could end of the world, Wormwood. They tracked down the instrument, a harmonica, now protected by a youngster named Dusty. The Nephilim came at aid and this lead them to a great battle between Nephilim and Powers. But alas, the harmonica has been played and Wormwood called.
