Time flies very fast. I couldn’t even remember how I wrote my How I Celebrated My 20th Birthday post last year. Now I’m 21 years-old and I’m getting older every day. But not mature.
I had a full-day plan for my birthday, morning til night. As you know, I just acquired a Canon EOS 1000D for me and so Vanjohnn gave me a short photography course at McDonald’s Jones. Vanjohnn treated me for lunch at Ayala Food Choices. Finally, I was able to try the P99-peso bento-like meal of Dimsum Break. After that, we went to try the newly-opened CrePes & Cream — another Vanjohnn treat.
Rose came in by the time we were munching on the CrePes & Cream and she finished my share as I was already full by that time. We proceeded to roam around Ayala, to the new wing, where we found a Western Union outlet (been looking for one for a week plus already) and then explored some more stores.
Rose and I decided to go then to our next destination, Fort San Pedro. She hasn’t been there and I also wanted to try getting some shots inside. Amidst the intimidating rain, we enjoyed the most part of our roaming around the place. We went to Basilica Minore del Santo Nino after to light some candles and pray. We were supposed to attend a mass but we decided otherwise because I was having some stomach kicks that time.
We went to Chowking to cool down our tired body and sole feet. And then bought a new pair of shoes next.
The celebration continued until Sunday where I spent the afternoon with my fellow CBS members — the original friends I have from the group. After the BOT meeting at McDo, Atty. Ethelbert, Mikyu and I went to SM to watch the Glee Show Choir Showdown (which was not very good btw). Thanks Atty. for the post-birthday dinner treat. We went to Ayala next to meet up with the others and then spent the rest of the evening recalling everyone’s childhood-TV life. Photo below by Vernon.
I actually miss year 2009 wherein I could just choose to hang out with my CBS friends anytime because of the big amount of spare time I had. But now’s a different story. I miss this group. I spent the early part of the year without them but I still look forward to having more hang out and bonding sessions with these guys.
Thanks also to Vernon for the Bryan’s Day Out post and to everyone who greeted me. It was a simple yet enjoyable and memorable 21st birthday indeed.
