Send Farm Fresh Roses Anywhere in the Philippines
Feb 7th
It’s really really coming close — Valentine’s Day. Seven days to go, yeah? And with that fact, I’m sure a lot of men in the world are already thinking of what to give their ladies on the coming special day.
Flowers, particularly roses, will always be the number one gift idea to complete a Valentine’s celebration. Did you know that the first ever red rose given for Valentine’s Day was given by St. Valentine himself ? And that probably is the root for the massive flower-giving during the day of the hearts.
Trivia: Ladies are no longer the only ones whom love receiving flowers. 60% of men surveyed by the Society of American Florists admitted that they would like to receive flowers on Valentines Day. -http://tinyurl.com/yfc4tvd
In the Philippines, flower-giving during Valentine’s is also a practiced tradition. Flower shops will be filled with bustling shoppers as February 14 comes near. But it’s always a problem where to buy the best flowers/roses and how to romantically send them to your loved ones. Combining creativity and technology rises a special kind of flower shop — Island Rose. Island Rose lets you send flowers to the Philippines in its complete freshness. What Are You Doing On Valentine’s Day?
Jan 28th
January’s closing. Look how fast time goes. If January’s main highlight is New Year’s Day, what do you think is February’s? Of course when we think of February, we always associate it with hearts, love and all those mushy stuff. It’s the Valentine’s month!
The 45th day in the Gregorian Calendar is very well celebrated by couples stealing each other’s kisses, I love you’s, chocolates, flowers and many more. This is the time wherein lovers buy each other gifts just to pronounce their love to one another. Oftentimes, it is always the man who gives presents to his partner. Flowers and chocolates are cliche. If you notice, malls would be filled with such as soon as the calendar flips over to February.
My Valentine’s Day Gift For My Parents
Feb 14th
You probably know what it is by looking at the picture. Yes, I bought two tickets for my parents so they could watch the Valentine Concert of Sitti Navarro tonight in CICC. I also would have wanted to go to that concert but I guess it is not yet the time for me to attend such romantic event. Besides, I am single.
My mother was actually surprised when I handed her the tickets. She knows Sitti (my father too) and I know she also wants to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a good way. We were supposed to watch the Side A free concert in the Terraces yesterday but I told them never mind as they are gonna be watching another one today.
As for me, I’ll be at home with my sister maybe watching Heroes or The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Maybe next year, next year, I’ll have someone to go with in a Valentine concert. Well, that’s 12 months from now. I have more things to do than wait for such phenomenon. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Hope you get to have a very romantic day!

I Am Single. And You?
Feb 3rd
This month is the love month — Valentine’s. But I hear a lot of whining from people saying that they hate February or they don’t believe in Valentine’s Day. Why? Simply because they are single. Aaaw.
I Am Single
Oh yes I am. And I’m not totally proud of it but I’m having fun being in company of many people, not just one. Though it still happens when I think ‘what if I have someone’. The list that I’m going to share here have no psychological evidence. They are simple mine. Well I bet you could relate to even at least one of them (that is if you are single). I have been thinking why I’m not like my other classmates who treat relationships like T-Shirts — you can change anytime. I have been wondering why am I stuck in single stage? I don’t mind February 14. For one, it is my crush’s birthday, Love Marie Ongpauco. Another, I’m not anti-prom. Well, that’s my only event for the month so I get no choice. I also want formal events. I look good in formal situations. Friends, don’t deny it. So being a singe in Valentine’s Day is never ever a problem. I want to get a girlfriend after I graduate. That’s a simple plan. My mind is just too filled nowadays and my heart is in stagnation or hibernation or starvation. I sometimes (take note of the ’sometimes’) envy people who have their special someone side by side with them. But most of the time I feel happy that I am single and free to do anything. I have no problems. I’m not a loner anyways. If you know somebody ideal for me, please let me know. I am truly single. How about you? Photo by cloud_nine

A Mind-whacking Exam and the Dream Girl
Jan 12th
We had two exams. One was okay, the other a migraine. I can’t even believe I made random answers on the freakin’ multiple choice! Phew! What subject? No, it’s not the ordinary-sounding subjects that we’ve always feared of in college. The name’s BIOINFORMATICS.
Nosebleed.
The subject that I don’t pay attention. The subject that I frolic around my seatmates during lectures. The subject that just got me blasted. I studied of course. I woke up 90 minutes earlier to waking time just to study. Oh well, this is the punishment of not listening in class discussions. Not my fault actually. I’m not saying whose fault it is. Haha.
I’m not sure if I’ll pass that one. I hope I will.
Anyways, about the dream girl. Yes. I did not know there exist such a beautiful face in the campus. Sorry other ladies. I just knew she was the winner of the school pageant two years ago. Well, she’s pretty, charming and most of all, very ideal. Ideal. It ends in that.
And I think she’s assuming I like her. The way her eyes stare. Hahaha. Well, I don’t want her to assume though. I’m no stalker. I’m just a humble admirer.
But no worries. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, I’ll forget her face. There’s no room for such stuff yet. That’s all for the moment. Good night!
