Play Ultimate Frisbee With Me, Please

Okay, so the title may sound almost demanding, but don’t fret. Anyways, this post is not in a way related to the Wikipedia scandal I posted previously. This post is the reason why I caught that Wikipedia scandal though.

Okay so as you can see I am no sports buff. I don’t spend my holy time in courts or in the field. I spend it in front of the computer — doing this and that. Watching is fun, but doing it is a different thing. As you see I am a loafer. Am I? I don’t know. I have only several games in mind (and heart) that I really wanted to play over and over again. One of which is what we call Ultimate or Ultimate Frisbee. I really once had the misconception that this game is for dogs only. Stupid me; and my classmates are stupid too. Ultimate Frisbee involves a disc, a big field and two teams. The rules are unwritten, no referees or coaches, just pure fun. The game is played similarly to how soccer is played.

Misconception: Frisbee is for dogs. Arf! Source

I learned playing Ultimate Frisbee when I took Recreational Activities for my PE class. Not to be boastful, but I was quite good at it getting the highest score in the practical exam with my pair Arnie. HA-HA. Anyways, we had a big round-robin Ultimate Frisbee tournament and it was so much fun and energizing.

Because of my attraction to such sport, I urged (forced) my friends to play an informal game with me during my birthday last 2007. I think they had fun too.

That was the last. I just had myself drooling with envy to some people playing Ultimate Frisbee in Camp Lapu-lapu in Apas. Damn, when will I ever be able to play it again?

Dang! I lost my green frisbee. Source

That is why I am encouraging (more like forcing or enticing) all my friends out there to come and play Ultimate Frisbee. C’mon, leave your computers there and let’s go out on the big field. It wouldn’t hurt to spend one day outdoors. I just love Ultimate Frisbee. I would really appreciate it if some friends would invite me to a fun game of Ultimate Frisbee. The game would teach us skills such as speed, vitality and alertness. More importantly, teamwork and sportsmanship as this game has no very serious written rules. Sigh, I wish I could play it soon.

PS. If you don’t want Ultimate Frisbee, come swim with me.
