Philippines’ Traditional Dance By UPSTAGE

My school friends from the University of the Philippines Students’ Theater Arts Guild for Education or UPSTAGE went to the Bucheon World Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo in Bucheon, South Korea to represent the Philippines. Basically, it is a cultural show showcasing various cultures all over the world. See one of their presentations below.

I’m proud of UPSTAGE and proud of our culture too. I’ve been a member of UPSTAGE when I was in college but had to stop because I had to focus on my studies instead. I also have my interests best on acting in plays (UPSTAGE does Cebuano plays) rather than in folk/cultural dancing.

Anyways, I’m proud of how far this group has reached. The current president is a close friend, by the way. I’m also proud that they were chosen to represent our culture in the Bucheon Expo. Kudos!

The Current Condition of UP Cebu’s Collection of ILOs in Biology

The Collection of Interactive Learning Objects in Biology or CILOB is a website I developed as part of my senior year thesis in UP Cebu. My main thesis is an interactive learning object (ILO) on the human body’s immune response to pathogenic activity. Yes, far off from my Computer Science course, but somehow highly related.

I recall the days of developing this one. The design might not be too grand (I’m CS, not IT) but I guess I made a fairly sleek one. On the ILO side, I have lots to thank for especially Vanjohnn, for bringing me to Velez College for data verification, and Mikyu, my unofficial tester, QA and critic. I actually miss the days of being frustrated and then happy and then frustrated again. Life’s different now.

Get the Answers To Your Chemistry and Physics Problems

I know how hard it is to be a student. And I also know how hard it is to take Chemistry and (most especially) Physics. Back in my student life time (when I was taking those subjects), the Internet wasn’t much of praiseworthy as it is now. We had to rely on books for reference and for practice. Today, the kids must be lucky. The Internet is one big think-box to scour the answers to problems.

Fortunately, students can now find the answers to their Chemistry or Physics problems with a single click. Online tutoring, as it is fondly called, means convenience and reliability to students. No matter how hard the Chemistry problems or Physics nightmares their teachers put on their back, know that an online community of problem solvers await… online.

One of the well known tutoring websites/communities is TutorVista. And I am pretty sure that one who is a frequent on the Internet knows about this one. I haven’t tried TutorVista, and I guess I will never have to as I’m not a student anymore. But the point is the current generation need not scratch their heads out of confusion the whole time anymore. Yes, TutorVista is where you scour for your Chemistry help and Physics help dilemmas.
