Dell Inspiron N4110 Review

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron N4110 in replacement of my also recently destroyed HP Compaq CQ40 (I spilled milk choco on it  ). What made me decide to buy this Dell Inspiron is that aside from Dell being a renowned brand when it comes to computers, the specs are also quite suitable for my personal needs.

The Dell Inspiron N4110 carries with it a 2nd-generation Intel i3 processor, good enough to do basic stuff on your computer. The 2GB memory is also enough for tasks like browsing the web, music and videos, and simple programming. The 14-inch display is good enough but not totally impressive. The cover is a glossy, brushed finish and unfortunately, it can easily get scratched so be careful with what you use to wipe it.

The computer base is a nice brushed finish but like the cover, it easily smudges — and the smudges don’t get wiped off easily. The keyboard is distinguished from the base by a silver metal enclosure — practically to put some design on the too plain computer base. The keyboard keys are chiclet-style, not like what I was used to with my Compaq (keys close together). They are evenly-spaced and if you are not used to having such keys, you’ll need to adjust.

Get your dad a Samsung Smart TV

What’s the definition of a “smart” TV? Right now, I can’t even define it myself. Maybe, a TV that will talk to you back (just like Talking Tom)? Or a TV which will tell you, ‘hey I’m the new face of Google’? Either ways, if a TV can do one of those, then it’s a “smart” TV (for me). But anyways, this current generation has been creating lots of gizmos, amazing gizmos, and they’ve been flooding our homes crazily — iPad and the like. The long-time-ago-invented TV: not an exception. Absolutely, so as Samsung says.

Samsung just reinvented the face of television. While the zombies are away, Samsung has successfully put some “brains” to that small (but now huge and flat) box we’ve known to love. The TV, of course.  Erm, THE Samsung Smart TV. We need not place the quote marks anymore.

The Samsung Smart TV is truly a product of imagination. With some intelligence behind the box, your viewing experience is not anymore composed of just “viewing” but also “experiencing”. The Smart TV is smart per se because it is web-enabled. Enjoy web apps through Smart Hub, update your twitter followers with what’s happening in the teleserye you’re watching real-time through SocialTV or use SearchAll to get content from all over the world wide web. But what the hell are all of those? Surely, it’s better to experience than to just read about it. So let’s get us some Samsung Smart TV now?

Featuring Globe’s 4G Technology

Globe has always been ahead of other mobile companies in bringing in and upgrading amazing and convenient technologies to everyone. Recently, Globe announces a major expansion of its current 4G footprint by introducing to the public the 4G mobile technology. Before we know more about Globe’s new technology, let’s dig deeper to terms.

4G differs from 3G in such a way that it allows for peak theoritical download speeds upt to 21 Mbps and upgradeable to 84Mbps. Specifically, Globe will be using HSPA+ (Evolved High-Speed Packet Access). Yeah, it’s really digging deep down to technicalities but the main point is 4G offers really, really fast internet connectivity. That means, time with using your mobile phone for internet would mean a better experience in browsing, social networking, streaming, downloading ang multimedia upload — good for both ordinary users and pros (e.g. photographers). Just FYI, HSPA+ is also being widely used in the USA.
