How To Enable Internet/GPRS On Samsung Champ

I quote myself when I said in my Samsung Champ review that

The Samsung Champ is capable of connecting to the Internet and has made social networking a breeze, they say, BUT unfortunately Sun Cellular doesn’t have configuration support yet for this phone model. That means I am not yet able to enjoy the Internet powers of my Champ.

I got that information from the customer service hotline of Sun Cellular. Unfortunately, she is wrong.

I don’t have any manual settings to show here on how you can activate the GPRS on your Samsung Champ. What I did is I went to the Sun Shop in Ayala Center Cebu (you can do so in any Sun Shop nationwide) and asked the customer representative to activate my phone’s Internet.  She told me to wait for 24 hours before activation and actually it took almost 48 hours for the Internet to get activated.

So again, to enable Internet or GPRS on your Samsung Champ, go to the nearest Sun Shop and ask them to activate for you. All you have to do is wait. Enjoy!

P.S. I think the Sun Cellular hotline is less trustworthy than those from the Sun Shop. So without hesitation, visit your nearest Sun Shop. ;-)

Medicine Brands Tapping Social Media

The day social networking was discovered to be an effective marketing weapon, brands and businesses of every type (from food to apparel and then medicine) has tried to establish a strong web presence and get hold of a large number of ‘fans’.

Medicine brands campaign using social media: the new cliche.

Take for example, Facebook. Facebook is not just your ordinary person’s favorite social network. It’s not just all about faces. Facebook is also a good advertising avenue. And medicinal brands didn’t lag behind.

Probably the noisiest medicinal brand in Facebook would be Alaxan FR.

AyosDito.ph: The Easy Way to Sell and Shop Online

AyosDito.ph has been on the run for a few years already. And it is still the best online marketplace in the Philippines. Our country having its very own online classified or marketplace could give each one of us, whether we intend to buy or sell, a vast array of potential (buyers, profit) and choices.

I haven’t tried selling on AyosDito.ph yet but I’m sure that posting your endorsed product here will ensure you to have potential customers right away. What I tried doing in AyosDito.ph several times already is to scout for products which I wish to purchase. Once I was searching for a PSP, then for an iPod. Searching for such items was easy and fast. Last year, I had the dilemma of choosing between working here in Cebu or in Manila. I had my hopes up for the latter, and just the right thing: pre-searching for a condo unit or apartment for rent, done at AyosDito.ph of course. Obviously, I decided to stay in Cebu and searching for condo units or apartments, charge it to experience.

Searching for "ipod" on sellers from Central Visayas in the category "Mobile Phones and Gadgets". Convenient!
