Citta Di Mare Soon To Rise In Cebu

Whenever I hear the word Filinvest, what comes first on my mind is the slogan We build the Filipino dream. Think of it as just a cliche line but it’s a fact. Filinvest, the country’s leading real estate developer, realizes seven dreams every day. And they’re also about to realize Cebu’s dream city — a city by the sea, Citta di Mare.

Lipad, Biboy, lipad! should be changed to Langoy, Biboy, langoy! then huh? Citta di Mare which means “the city by the sea”, is a master-planned community spanning approximately 50 hectares at the newly reclaimed South Road Properties of the Cebu City Government. This is a joint project of Filinvest and the Cebu City Government.

Citta di Mare is not the first Filinvist project in Cebu but will be the largest so far (and even third in the whole country). It boasts a lot of things, promising quality of life for its residents, including waterfront and seaside leisure, productivity, safety and many more.

Citta Di Mare has 3 (out of 7) major subsections. Il Corso is the waterfront lifestyle strip that will offer a range of seaside leisure activities. The Amalfi Oasis will be the first residential cluster of Citta di Mare, inspired by the coastal towns of Italy’s Amalfi coast. The Piazza will be the common area, the central activity place. Hearing about these terms and the wonders they promise, you might think of us Cebuanos having Italy in Cebu.

Know more about what Citta di Mare has to offer through their Facebook page or through this website.

The Extraordinary Kiddo attends the exclusive preview of Citta di Mare

The Citta di Mare preview night was held at the Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan last August 28, 2010. It was attended by the Filinvest executives and founder, the Cebu City Government officials and media (including us, Cebu Bloggers Society). Also present were the Ms. Cebu past contestants, and other important Cebu personalities.

After a bout of cocktail, the event formally started. A short video about Filinvest’s roots was played before all the important people came to speak in front of everyone including Filinvest execs, Mayor Mike Rama, Congressman Osmena and even the Filinvest owner. A video clip about Citta di Mare was also played. The event ended with the Cebu City Government officials and the Filinvest executives having a toast.

It was one of the most formal events I have attended as a blogger/media person. Thanks to Ms. Jaja and Ms. April for inviting us to witness this event. For more photos, visit my Flickr photostream.
