Enchanted Kingdom Magicalympics With Magical Friends
Enchanted Kingdom Magicalypics ::: Last week while I was in Manila, we bloggers were invited (special thanks to Eric) to a magical day at Enchanted Kingdom in Sto. Rosa, Laguna. I am glad that I was invited to that bloggers’ event since I have nowhere else to go while I’m there.
After breakfast and early morning ghost stories sharing with Vanjohnn, Winston, Ate Aileen and her Sweetie at Wendy’s, we headed over to the meeting place for all of us. I think that was Makati Intercon, I don’t know
. We waited until all of us were there (looking for Hannah) and then off we go to EK.
At first I thought we were just to spend the day on whatever we wanted to do but there was actually a prepared program for all of us. Felt sad for a moment since Mica and Van were on different teams. We’re tagging behind Mica and Winston at first
. I got in the purple team together with Winston, Jhelo, Sire, Aeirin, Rochelle and (oops I forgot the rest, please comment below if you are in the purple team
). We watched the 4D Theatre first, Journey to the Center of the Earth (not yet in our teams) then headed for lunch. After lunch, we grouped ourselves into our team colors and were to choose a mascot and a team yell. We chose Barney, hence dinosaur, because of the purple color and we also chose RARR as our sound. RARR.

The team grouping is for an activity called Magicalympics, an amazing race type of game where challenges are to be done using the park’s rides. The challenges we underwent are the following, in no particular order:
- Rialto short interactive movie watching (Lego 4D Racer) and answer a set of questions. We did not make it and got a penalty.
- Anchors Away tomato catching. There’s only 6 of us capable of riding that so we had three girls for throwing the tomatoes and three boys for catching using a net. This is the best challenge since concentrating on catching the tomato would be hard especially that the three of us (Winston, Jhelo & I) are freaked out at first (closed our eyes when the ship goes up,
) We again got a penalty for catching only 6/15 tomatoes. - Dodgem team race where we have to follow a set of rules and get flags from the other side while park employees try to disrupt us. We got in before the time is out. Wee.
- Steeplechase Arcade Videoke where we sang Gold with all our vocal chords and we got 99 score. Yahoo!
- Wheel of Fate find-that-landmark quiz. We got perfect and got a bonus! The view was great. I have a video right here.
- Log Jam wet ride and hard challenge where plastic cups on a headband are to be worn and they are filled to the brim with water. The task is easy, ensure that more water will be left after the ride. Toink, you wish. I got wet, that’s all. We made it to the minimum amount though.
- Grand Carousel challenge was chicken. Pictures were given to us and we just have to find that horsey. Yeeha. I did not join this.
- Rio Grande charades. Two movie titles were picked out and half of us will act that out and the rest on the far side will guess. That’s all. Har!
- Flying Fiesta where we ride the flying chairs. The purpose: stir our minds. We are to solve a puzzle afterward. We made it!
- Junior Kart Trak longest line. The challenge was a bit hard. The finish line is very far. We did not make it.
After all the challenges, we ran to the Bandstand and found out we made it to the first place! Wee wee wee. We were so proud and happy and we went to use our wizard money and buy food. We came back excitedly to the Bandstand for the awarding. We then found out we were only in the second place. But it was okay because we had the time of our lives. Yeah, that’s what I texted my friend in Cebu: ‘I am having the time of my life’. We (purple team) got a shirt (for females
) from Robinson’s. I gave the shirt to my sister though.

After the awarding, we spent the time in the park’s rides. Together with Mica, Winston, Van, Jason, Aethen, Jhelo, and The Musicblogger (Edward?) we frolicked around the park’s rides. We had cam whoring moments and lots more. In short, we had fun. At least I think I had fun.
Sana nga sumama si Ada, sayang, hinanap ko pa nga siya before kami pumatungong EK

With new and great friends from Manila
We went back to Makati after the fireworks and had dinner at The North Park where the kind AJ paid for the food we ate. During that time they had a serious talk about life and I learned a lot. A lot. Thanks AJ.
Anyways, what I find great about the day is not the event on EK but on the people that were with me during the stay there. It was nice meeting everyone in Manila since iBlog5 Day and up to now it is still unbelievable that I’ve made friends with these amazing people outside Cebu. That is why I call them magical. Cheesy, eeeek
Thanks to the great new friends and thanks to Echanted Kingdom! Echanted Kingdom is really a good place to bond with friends and family, as manifested by what happened to us bloggers. It was fun.
