Have you ever been to a lifestyle party? What’s a lifestyle party by the way? Eh, I don’t know. But last August 14, 2009, AboitizLand invited Cebu Bloggers Society and SkyscraperCity Forums Group to an event they called First Bite: A Blogger Lifestyle Party in the clubhouse of Pristina North in Talamban. This exclusive event was attended to by 17 bloggers from CBS (18 originally invited) and a few from SkyscraperCity. So what’s the event all about? It’s showing what AboitizLand’s got to offer the urban community of Cebu.
CBS came on time, not as usual. 
The gorgeous staff of Aboitiz welcomed us and ushered us to the registration table. We were then told that we were to wait for the others and are free to roam the clubhouse. After taking a look at the event area, we were ushered to a miniature model of the whole of Pristina North where everything about it was explained and shared to us. A few jotted down notes. I didn’t. I was taking pictures. We were also introduced to AboitizLand’s current project, Persimmon, condominiums in Mabolo, Cebu City.

After the briefing, we were then allowed again to roam the vicinity. The bunch of us went to the poolside where you can see a small playground, a wide pool, a view of Pristina North and a view of the big basketball court. We were so active and playful that we ended up with grouching hungry stomachs. The line of food on the table were bidding us to devour them. So we did. We  filled our plates with empanadas, spaghetti, sandwiches, crunchy bread (which apparently I don’t know the name), pork on a stick and a lot more. The food was yummy and the meal’s fine even without some rice. So there’s no rice in lifestyle parties? 
We stood while we enjoyed the delectable food.
After the food came beer. And while the beer’s on, the program started. The first entertainment was from dancers-shoving-lamps-in-the-air (I don’t know what they are called). Here are cool

But the dancing was too long and we were not enjoying it that much. We’d rather see fire 
. The rest of the time was spent playing games. It’s usually Cebu Bloggers Society versus SkyscraperCity. The games we played included: Buzz Word (they give out a keyword and the answer to a question must have that keyword appended somewhere), Beer Transferring Contest (6 players use a straw to transfer beer from the bottle to a glass) and How Well Do You Know Cebu (more like of a game show). I enjoyed the last game where we learned a lot about Cebu… a lot.
Between the program, we were asked to write on their freedom wall. Bloggers as we are, we always write first our… guess!

We were then showed a great AVP of AboitizLand’s current development, Persimmon. Honestly, the AVP’s inviting. But I don’t have money! The event ended with more beer, camwhoring, talking, dancing and most of all, giving out of our Cebu Bloggers Society white shirt (white version of the black one). I’m sorry I don’t have pictures of us wearing the shirt.

A big thanks to AboitizLand for inviting us and for the ride to and from Pristina North. I will be writing about Persimmon soon. Thanks Sinjin for choosing me as one of the bloggers to attend this event.
So how did the event turn out for me? Fun, of course. Especially with Cebu Bloggers Society, the program, the food and the people. I hope to attend another AboitizLand event soon.

Haha, ako anhi lang ko sa Molave, dapit sa amoa.
Yeah enjoy jud ang CBS. Bisan maghulat pa ta (e.g. Tianexx, ikaw, Rabsin ug ako) ug pila ka hours in extremely harsh environments (tugnaw kaayo ug init kaayo), kay okay ra basta CBS. Laaaaag.

lifestyle party for bloggers?…wow gusto ko ring maka-attend ng ganyang klaseng event! invite nyo naman ako next time. kahit nasa ilocos ako willing ako travel jan basta ba free time ako.

Wow, tapos na pala ang Pristina North. I live near that place. Before I left Cebu for Manila, the place was still incomplete.

Not really tapos but I think they’re 90+% done. The front area still needs further development daw. But the lots are 80% sold.
