From BryanKarl.net to ExtraordinaryKiddo.com
Yeah yeah welcome back Extraordinary Kiddo! My blog is alive again. It went down (got suspended accdg. to the host, duh) last Thursday, October 22, 2009. It came down along the blogs of Atty. Ouano of laagcebu.com and Pibi of sopibreal.com (now on a new host). It was a sad event actually and it overwhelms me that my classmates know about it and they are asking if I’m sad, hahaha. Honestly I was sad for a short while. Who wouldn’t be? My blog’s my extension. But after a day, I decided to move on and forget about it. Que sera sera. But good enough I have a backup of my database and files, even though outdated, but at least there is. I then decided to buy a new blog host; this time it is local. Sweet it is to just contact the server managers/owners through instant messaging and even SMS. I now have my blog hosted over at iRock Web Hosting. And I bought a new host! Welcoming EXTRAORDINARYKIDDO.COM…
Why this and why not the same old domain? Simple: I don’t hold my bryankarl.net domain and I simply cannot contact my old host to transfer the domain to my account. Damn. ExtraordinaryKiddo.com’s cool though.
My message to Kinohost, my old host:
If you decide to just leave your old business to rot, please do save your old clients from doom. If you decide to suspend accounts, please do inform the account owners. Don’t leave them ignorant for the time duration. To Jon Towns, be professional. That said, Kinohost simply sucks.
My message to Mikyu of ifancy.me:
Thank you for everything! Thanks for reviving my blog. Even though I’m Computer Science and you are IE, I still trust my blog to you because you are more experienced with WordPress than I do. Thanks for spending time fixing my database, hehe. 2AM wow. Anyways, arigatou gozaimasu. This blog owes a lot to you. (worship)
My message to everybody:
I’m asking one favor, and that is if you are linking to me in some way, please do update the URL and make it ExtraordinaryKiddo.com. For the time being, I cannot forward my old URL to this new one due to web host mismanagement. And please don’t forget to subscribe if you are not yet a subscriber, k? To my old feed subscribers, don’t worry, you are still subscribed! I think. 
I will post a more serious tone about this experience soon on my other blog, bryankarl.com. For the mean time, I will be repairing all my posts from day 1 since the image URLs need to be manually updated. I hadn’t thought about editing them before sending to the database. But it’s okay. Today would be a busy day. Thank you all and good luck to me. 
I don’t know what I’d do if my hosting service would fail me. My sites except for soloflighted are hosted on 3ix.com. I only pay a dollar for the hosting but the domain is what I’m worried about.
I have 5 blogs and I can imagine the hassle of reviving everything. tsk, tsk. Good luck bai!

We’re paying almost the same amount for our web hosting now. Anyways, just as long as you receive constant customer support from your host, then it’s fine. And the best method to avoid the hassle is to backup everything regularly. If wala pa ko nag-backup ede back to start na unta ko ron.

Good thing your host still has the initiative to do a good deed to you, the customer. But our (mine and Atty’s) host is muted, nobody knows why.

hi brarl! finally nakadaan din ako dito sa bago mong lungga. hehehe. hawishu? ako gusto ko na ring magpahost pero prinoproblema ko yung domain na binili ko from wordpress. i’m still trying to figure it out. baka intayin ko na lang magexpire yon or something.
