The first time I’ve been to Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort, I was more or less 11 years old. I still have pictures of the place (and me) stacked here in the photo album but I’d rather not share… too embarrassing. The second time I was there I was already 19 years old  and that was last summer where Maribago Bluewater invited us bloggers to explore the place. The third time was weeks ago when they opened their art gallery and we were invited to witness its grand opening. And the fourth time is what I’ll be sharing about now.

Sir Ruben Licera from Maribago/CBS told us that every Sunday starting October 25 until four weeks, 5 bloggers are given free day-tour passes to the resort. I signed up for the first Sunday, October 25. I then knew that the slots for October 25 were increased to 10 (and November 1 would be cancelled). Lucky or not?

My first goal for that resort trip was to rest. I’ve had excreted much energy last semester and I thought I might recharge at the beach. Well, all these inkling thoughts, erased.

Mikyu, Kai, Iggy, Atty. Ouano, Beejing, Agnes, Mark, Zyra, Blair and I were the first bloggers to enjoy Maribago’s treat.

We went to the resort around 9am as instructed by Sir Ruben. We then passed by the front desk, we were allowed in and went directly to the beach front. At this point, we were clueless with what to do. Kill time, I suppose. We picked those beach chairs under the huts but were told by officers that we are not allowed to do so unless we are checked-in. Ah, day-tour guests are only allowed those beach chairs unaccompanied by huts, lol. Remember that.

We then were so confused with what we are supposed and allowed to do as day-tour guests. We decided to just go and take a dip at the swimming pool. But which pool? We called Sir Ruben, wah. We were then instructed to go to a specific pool area. The pool is huge (but shallow) and it is the same pool that I’ve enjoyed when I was a kid, lol. After some minutes of officers-asking-who-we-are and what-are-we-really-allowed-to-do moments, we all decided to take the big refreshing dip. All of us but Mikyu went swimming. We played games, cam-whored and did stuff people normally do at the pool. We had fun then we prepared ourselves for the buffet lunch. Yummm.

The buffet lunch was simply amazing. There were a lot to choose from! I liked the grilled food most, especially the hotdog and blue marlin. We then had “personalized” halo-halo for dessert. That was one big happy lunchtime for us!

Afterwards with the sun just above us, we rested then took jump shots, head shots, all kinds of shots. We also met another CBS member, Noelle and her boyfriend. With the beach not alluring us, we decided to go back to the pool. And this is the climax. Here are the things we did at the pool:

  • Played tag [video]
  • Did some merry-go-round thing [video]
  • Played with an American baby
  • Talked about CBS issues
  • Did human race [video]
  • Poke-me-and-I’ll-fall “stunt” [video]
  • Human bridge [video]
  • Lusot-lusot (what’s the English term? hee) [video]
To the left, to the left... :P

Spot the difference. :P

Lastly, we have here our messages for the next batch of bloggers to come. We were slightly mean but we don’t mean it, hah!

I really had fun the whole day! We were lucky we were ten and not just five bloggers in one batch. We all cannot deny that that day was one hell of a very happy and fun day for the ten of us. An unforgettable one for sure.

We had our dinner in Matias Grill in Banilad afterwards. Went home quick to return to our normal lives (boring for me). Started reviving this blog that night too. ;-)

If you wanna see more pictures of us (NSFW, kidding!), here’s Atty. Ouano and Mikyu’s albums. Photos are from both of them too. ;-) Also check out the Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort website for more information regarding their day tour and overnight packages. Thanks.
