Our family’s New Year celebration this year is as simple as it can be. No fireworks, just adobo for dinner, no special drinks, no party. I went outside to watch the fireworks but I could hardly get a clear view since our home is surrounded with trees. But I thought, I won’t mind the simplicity, as long as I have my family here with me. And I thank God for that.

Moving on, thanks John Carl for the reminder. I am going to make my quality goals for 2011 now. Recalling my quality goals for 2010, only 2 out of 5 were met. Boo. I started running but then I stopped. I started Project 365 then I stopped. I got a planner and stopped using it. I got me some contact lenses (and been dependent on em since then). And I think #5 can be scored “meets expectations”.
Let’s see my quality goals for 2011.
1. Buff up – Number 1 is getting in very good shape. Been trying to do that before but now, there’s no turning back. Though I didn’t accomplish my running feat last year, I’ll have it one notch higher now — hit the gym. I’m serious.
2. Become my own driver – I have always wished to avoid the traffic, the dust and my enemy, the sun, when commuting to work or anywhere. Thus, I need to learn to drive and get me some license. And I will do. By the end of January, I’ll be driving myself to work… and to the gym.
3. Blog – I miss the blogger in me. I lost it in 2010 and I will find it again. I hope to blog blog blog again this year.
4. Spend less – I got my first job and I saved and saved and saved only to spend it all in a short span of time. It was a mistake and I learned my lesson. Now that I am not dependent on my parents, I will keep an eagle eye on my finances. Life is really hard lol. I will still spend but only reasonably.
5. Love life – Hello me I’m 21, I also need love life you know. HAHAHA
6. Spend more time with my family – I realized I’ve been always out of the house lately. I should spend more time with my family now. And we have a Manila trip in February… quite excited for this.
7. Career boost – I’ve always been a bore in the office. I can do my tasks efficiently though but I am always short-tempered there. The only thing that makes me happy is when my supervisor/PL praises me for a job well done. Praise praise praise.
8. Nihongo love – I used to love Nihongo the first time I met it. But then, I lost the love. I need it back now, badly. Maybe I should watch more… uhm.
9. Friends and people – I want to know more my new friends, keep my old friends for some lovin’, and meet new ones for a happier life. I am surrounded by lots of people now and I am glad. I hope the bond gets stronger this year and I hope to know those who will stand by me through time.
10. Get a tripod, an excellent sound system, a small aquarium – I want to have a tripod to feed my vanity
, an excellent speaker for my love of music and a small aquarium for my betta.
I’m quite confident that I’ll have these goals carried out in no time. Lotsa confidence dude. Do you have quality goals too?

Thanks Alyssa. Yes, hopefully I’ll achieve all of them!
I always need to buff up! Haha.
But before that, I think I have to lose weight.
Sooo, I think I’m pretty buffed up now (i.e. tumaba ako, hehe).
