Soothing, Inspiring Solo Piano From Jim Chappell

Jim Chappell is one of contemporary music’s most engaging composers and performers. He is a brilliant pianist, has 15 albums to his credit, has toured to lots of places and has guested in several US TV shows. His latest album release was last October 2009 and entitled Rise.

I have this love in listening to piano music. Probably out of frustration since I wanted to learn how to play the piano but never had the chance to. I believe that piano music is therapy to stress. That’s why I decided to purchase Jim Chappell‘s latest album, Rise. Rise has 14 tracks in it.

  1. Rise 04:53
  2. We’re Okay 03:13
  3. Good Again 02:56
  4. David 04:38
  5. Diamonds In Her Eyes 04:44
  6. Play Date 03:29
  7. Everything You Said 04:26
  8. Four Leaf Clover 03:49
  9. Something To Smile About 04:17
  10. I Knew I’d Love You 04:50
  11. Eleven 02:33
  12. Graduation Day 05:14
  13. A Longer Kiss 05:02
  14. The Last Goodnight 03:16

The price is “name your price” with a minimum of $5. I have really little money so I decided just to buy it off at a minimum ($5). After paying I downloaded the zip file of Rise.

I bought Rise so it could relieve me from stress when school resumes this week. I’ve been listening to the album and the music is really good. That’s why I’m sharing it here. Maybe you could spare your $5 and buy off this album. Jim Chappell has other previous albums but they don’t cost “name you price”. I couldn’t afford them for now.

Some tracks on the Rise album are free by the way so you might want to try them out. You might want to buy the album on Jim Chappel’s Bandcamp page or check out Jim Chappell’s website.

  1. I want to learn how to play piano too. A bit frustrated. For beginners, do you recommend him for me? I want to start listening to piano pieces. :)

Wow! Determined! I don’t know. Maybe. Try downloading his album though. It’s nice. But I think he’s okay for beginners. His songs are not complicated.
