I recently attended one of the country’s biggest blogging conferences, the Visayas Blogging Summit 2011 (VBS 2011), held in SM Cebu. I have attended similar events like the iBlog5 (UP Diliman), Visayas Blogging Summit 2010 (SM Iloilo), WordCamp (Manila) and Cebu Blog Camp (Cebu City) but putting biases aside, I think VBS 2011 was, for me, the loudest and best.
I’ve gathered several ideas and conclusions based on what has actually happened during the event and here are some of those:
The very first Cebu Blog Camp 2010 will be on May 22, 2010 at the CAP Theater in Cebu City. As part of the organizing team, I wish all the success in this event. I haven’t been doing much of the assigned tasks (or tasks weren’t assigned much on me) since I was extremely busy, but on the day itself, I’ll try my best to help make the event really successful.
I’m excited to meet many bloggers from all around Philippines like I have done when I went to attend the iBlog Summit last year (2009). I hope it would give me an even greater satisfaction.
Cebu Blog Camp 2010 would not be possible if not because of our sponsors and supporters.

Woot, suddenly it felt like iBlog5 all over again. Well that’s what I felt during the Philippine Blog Awards 2009 – Visayas last October 18, 2009 at the Ayala City Sports, Cebu Business Park in Cebu City.
Miong, Prince, Bryan, Ada, Winston, Mica, Kevin
Though there were not too many bloggers who attended, the night was still full of fun and surprises. My Cebu Bloggers Society family was there. I had fun talking and cam whoring with Mica and Ada. It’s nice seeing Winston and Vanjohnn after a long time too. The last four I’ve mentioned are the factors that made PBA 09 feel like iBlog5. 
I’d like to congratulate Sinjin for winning the Chikka’s Readers’ Choice Award. A very BIG congratulations to Cebu Bloggers Society for winning the Visayas’ Bloggers’ Choice Award! Kudos also to Globe’s Ten Digital Tribe winners, mostly from CBS. Dahong Laya also wins the Best Visayan Blog. For a list of winners announced during the event, click here. Continue reading
