A trip to SM Cebu’s Christmas Village of Hope

When it comes to Christmas decors, SM City Cebu always wins compared to Ayala Center Cebu (the two being the major malls in the metro). After attending the Visayas Blogging Summit, I went to meet my parents in Northwing. They’re buying something in SM Appliance Center so I had to stroll around Northwing’s Atrium first by myself.

I noticed the area being busy, the crowd a bit loud and excited. There was good music and food served to a certain enclosed area. The first thing I noticed are the usual grandiosely decorated Christmas trees towering the center portion.  But only a few were taking their photos with the trees. More people were looking on to something much more attention-seeking than the trees. The Christmas Village of Hope.

My Christmas Wish List 2011

I realized I never ever made a Christmas wish list on my blog before. Maybe because I was raised by my parents not to ask too much during Christmas. As far as I remember, my parents gave me a Christmas gift only once my whole life (and it was a Kamaru bag!). They even [almost] made me believe it came from Santa Claus. Anyways, that was the first and last time I received a material gift from my parents. The greatest Christmas present is of course, celebrating it with them, my family.

I’m doing photos again. Messing up with my camera and all. It’s gonna be Christmas Day hours from now. As I looked out our window I saw our front yard tree in its delightful dressing — our Christmas lights. It has always been that way many years now. And I captured the silent moment right away.
