Update 002: Let’s travel!

St. Augustine said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” I’d certainly pick that up. I like traveling once in a while. And I certainly don’t want to do it alone; I love to do it with family and friends. Another quote, this time from someone named Jim Cahill, says that “A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.” I could not agree more.

1. Bantayan Island – Yes, it’s decided. Our Bantayan trip will be pushed through at the end of the month. It’s already my 2nd time and I’m still very excited. I’ll be going this time with a different set of friends, those I’ve known since high school and college. There’s 10 of us and I expect we’ll have loads of fuuun.

2. Hong Kong – Is this for real? A month ago, I predicted that the year I can set foot to an international destination again is 2013 or 2014. But, here it is! A ticket for 2012 to Hong Kong. I’ll be going with my friend Rose and we’ll be there for 3 days. This is my 2nd time though — I went to HK last 2007 with my family and I was too young to appreciate Hong Kong then? Really, really excited about this but, as trips need budget, we both need to keep a keen eye on our expenses and save. Phew. Sacrifices to get to the goal.

3. Boracay – We have a scheduled trip with office mates to Boracay this December. We have Cebu-Iloilo tickets and we plan to do the bus route from Iloilo to Caticlan. But given that I need a huge budget for Hong Kong, I don’t think I’ll be pushing through with this trip. They say Boracay’s cost catches up with that of Hong Kong’s. One must be sacrificed, I guess.

Video Clips From The Festival Of The Lion King

It’s always good to look back to your childhood even when you’re already, uhm, 20. While Mikyu bombarded me with Lion King music, I suddenly remembered my kept files in a CD. No it’s not some other stuff but are video clips that I took when we went to Hong Kong last 2007.

There is a show in Disneyland called The Festival of the Lion King, a short musical live show of the Disney classic The Lion King. It was really great, and sometimes funny that I endured holding the digital camera for some time. I actually got tired so you would see how shaky the video is.

The clips are divided and you wouldn’t see the whole show here because… I’m a lazy person. I didn’t record the whole show. Anyways, enjoy the tidbits.
