Update 002: Let’s travel!

St. Augustine said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” I’d certainly pick that up. I like traveling once in a while. And I certainly don’t want to do it alone; I love to do it with family and friends. Another quote, this time from someone named Jim Cahill, says that “A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.” I could not agree more.

1. Bantayan Island – Yes, it’s decided. Our Bantayan trip will be pushed through at the end of the month. It’s already my 2nd time and I’m still very excited. I’ll be going this time with a different set of friends, those I’ve known since high school and college. There’s 10 of us and I expect we’ll have loads of fuuun.

2. Hong Kong – Is this for real? A month ago, I predicted that the year I can set foot to an international destination again is 2013 or 2014. But, here it is! A ticket for 2012 to Hong Kong. I’ll be going with my friend Rose and we’ll be there for 3 days. This is my 2nd time though — I went to HK last 2007 with my family and I was too young to appreciate Hong Kong then? Really, really excited about this but, as trips need budget, we both need to keep a keen eye on our expenses and save. Phew. Sacrifices to get to the goal.

A shot I took while in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong (Sony Cybershot)

3. Boracay – We have a scheduled trip with office mates to Boracay this December. We have Cebu-Iloilo tickets and we plan to do the bus route from Iloilo to Caticlan. But given that I need a huge budget for Hong Kong, I don’t think I’ll be pushing through with this trip. They say Boracay’s cost catches up with that of Hong Kong’s. One must be sacrificed, I guess.

Enchanted Kingdom Magicalympics With Magical Friends

Enchanted Kingdom Magicalypics ::: Last week while I was in Manila, we bloggers were invited (special thanks to Eric) to a magical day at Enchanted Kingdom in Sto. Rosa, Laguna. I am glad that I was invited to that bloggers’ event since I have nowhere else to go while I’m there.

After breakfast and early morning ghost stories sharing with Vanjohnn, Winston, Ate Aileen and her Sweetie at Wendy’s, we headed over to the meeting place for all of us. I think that was Makati Intercon, I don’t know :P . We waited until all of us were there (looking for Hannah) and then off we go to EK.

At first I thought we were just to spend the day on whatever we wanted to do but there was actually a prepared program for all of us. Felt sad for a moment since Mica and Van were on different teams. We’re tagging behind Mica and Winston at first :P . I got in the purple team together with Winston, Jhelo, Sire, Aeirin, Rochelle and (oops I forgot the rest, please comment below if you are in the purple team :D ). We watched the 4D Theatre first, Journey to the Center of the Earth (not yet in our teams) then headed for lunch. After lunch, we grouped ourselves into our team colors and were to choose a mascot and a team yell. We chose Barney, hence dinosaur, because of the purple color and we also chose RARR as our sound. RARR. :P Continue reading

iBlog5 Experience And The After Events

Last Friday, May 8, I flew to Manila so I could attend iBlog5: The 5th Philippine Blogging Summit which was on May 9 at UP Diliman. Thankfully, Bagyong Emong already went out in time for my flight. Kevin and I met in NAIA so we could together go to Vanjohnn’s whereabouts. We went to SM Megamall since Van is there with his friends. A long walk towards the condo after.

Eric fetched us (like kids) so we could go together to UP Diliman. We were there on time and we get to have their freebies. Weee. Cebu Bloggers Society‘s (including me) wearing of their official shirt (thanks Van for the shirt) attracted the organizers attention so we were first in introducing ourselves to the early crowd. We were followed by more interesting bloggers. Continue reading
