UP’s Bet to Ms. Cebu Did Not Win

Oh, too sad our school’s bet to the Ms. Cebu 2009 pageant did not make it to the Top 5. Anyways, I think she still needs some maturity to beat the other mature-looking contestants. After all, it’s not just any other pageant.

But it’s okay. There are more Ms. Cebu pageants to come. As if I care. I don’t watch pageants. I just take pride knowing a UPian is part of the event. Anyways, I didn’t even know that Ms. Cebu is over. Haha. I knew it from my classmates and from other blogs.

If you want to know more about the happenings in the coronation night, see McBilly’s blog entry about this one. And looking at his post, I saw Loise’s pictures. The beautiful, stunning, charming crush of mine – Loise Tan, Ms. Cebu 2007. Phew! Ain’t she pretty? I’m putting her face here. I hope McBilly doesn’t mind.

Man she’s beautiful. And no, Karla Henry is not my type. Anyways, that’s all for now. I have to make some “Data Path” for my own “Instruction Set Architecture”. Nosebleed, I know.

Happy Blogging!

Excited For The JS Prom?

February’s coming. Half a month to go and February hits the calendar! So what’s with February? For Filipinos, the year’s activities start with New Year, then Sinulog (Cebuanos), then Valentines, then Chinese New Year. Wait, pausing to Valentines, what’s in it for the J’s and the S’s? I meant Juniors and Seniors of both high schools and colleges. It’s the Prom! Yeah.

The first time I heard about the coming prom night for us (I’m a junior), I got excited. It is a rare occasion that I wear anything formal. And I like seeing myself in formal wear just because it happens rarely. That’s why I was once excited for that event.

But some of my friends don’t want to go. They don’t want to pay the P500.00 (for us in Computer Science Department).

But suddenly, the winds have turned in favor of me. I heard Prom is MANDATORY. Wow. They can choose not to go but they have to PAY. Yipee! Hahaha. OK, so I heard they’re all going now and have been having an early round at the mall for something to wear. I, on the other hand, could rely on my rich cousin’s tux. I hope he’ll still lemme borrow. Or I could rent somewhere else.

Anyways, Prom’s more than a month from now and I probably will forget about it in the coming days. Joyride in school! Who would ever remember fun moments when at school? Well, actually I do. That’s when our Division Chair went to play in the beach slide like a kid.

Happy blogging!
