Yehey.Com, Philippines’ number one portal and search engine has finally decided to meet up with the uber-active Cebu Bloggers Society last May 28, 2009 at La Maison in The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.

Yehey.Com has been recognizing the power of blogging for a long time already. They already had big events for bloggers in Manila like the over-mentioned TriNoma event for bloggers (it should also happen to us here, you know ). Yehey believes that online advertising is one key to a successful business. That is why they recognize bloggers as catalysts for such online advertising system to grow and be noticed even by the larger crowd. What I like about Yehey is how they put things in a mutualistic manner between them, the bloggers and the advertisers. Other “institutions” use bloggers, pay them and tell them what to do. But that is the total opposite of what a real blogger is. Yehey knows that and adheres to ideas that do not break the essence of blogging.
