The TGI Friday’s Experience

After a long day’s torture at school, two of my friends and I stayed in Ayala Center Cebu to have our dinner somewhere in one of the not-so-expensive restaurants in the Terraces. Stupidly, we ended up eating our meal at McDonald’s worth Php 50 each. That’s really hilarious. We spent around 45 minutes searching for a restaurant and ended up in the fastfood spending only such small amount. HAHA. But we have other things in mind. We’re supposed to spend more on the dessert portion. Unluckily, Dessert Factory was closed since they’re moving to the Terraces from the inside of the mall.

One of my companions really wanted to try TGI Friday’s. She’s been drooling over to that cake/brownie she saw one time. So after the funny little dinner, we gave TGI Friday’s a try.

The TGI Friday’s Experience

What I like about TGI Friday’s is the location itself. The ambiance was great — overlooking the fountain area of the Terraces. It was dimly-lit though. Anyways, the waitresses were very attentive, friendly and most of all, sexy (with cat ears!). We were given the menu and shockingly, the prices were so HIGH. Sky high! We were laughing as we don’t have the capacity to individually buy ourselves a serving of dessert. We ended up ordering one serving for the three of us. What we ordered is called Double Chocolate Fudgy Brownie. It’s the hot brownie with a coffee-flavored ice cream on top. That one serving wasn’t all consumed. It was yummy but we just can’t take the over-sweetness. I myself am weak to super sweet foods.

We left TGI Friday’s with utter satisfaction. We charged it to experience. Now’s not the right time for us to dine in such expensive restos. When I get a job, I’ll order their main dishes for sure.

Before we left, there’s something new that I experienced too… the receipt being left a sweet note from somebody in TGI Friday’s. Here goes:

Ain’t that inspiring? Whoever Bianca is, she’s sweet. And don’t mind the ‘welcome’ with a smiley. Don’t mind my friend’s handwriting. I know it’s ugly. Haha, kidding!

Anyways, I look forward to my next TGI Friday’s meal! Yum yum!

  3. TGI Fridays is one of my favorite cozy restaurants here in the US. The ambience might not be as romantic and great as what you have in the Terraces (i heard how cool is this place from my sister, though i never get the chance to visit it, i left PI before this was open for business), but the food is great!!! when we go back to PI end of thsi year, we would definitely give it a try!! thanks for sharing this.

  8. my daughter and i used to have a standing date, every last wednesday of the month we'd go out for dinner. one of those was at TGIF. i have to say that it was so awful that we now avoid TGIF like the plague. the place was ice cold, the food was below mediocre, and the service was arrogant. maybe it was just that particular location, at metrotown in burnaby (a satellite city to vancouver, canada)? i'm glad you liked your experience!

  9. Unfortunately, I have yet to try their other yummy-looking desserts. I can't afford all of those as of the moment…

  10. Wow you are from Vancouver…

I really wish we could now migrate to Canada… and live in Vancouver.
Our Canadian friend told us that Vancouver is the best place in Canada because of the many work opportunities.

Anyways, thanks for your comment! Hope you re-enjoy TGIF's again…
