The Cebu South Reclamation Properties is not just home to long, winding roads and wide grasslands. It is also home to a small but nice place where anybody (whether in pair, group or not) could hang out, rest and enjoy. The Boardwalk is a small area (rather out of place) that has a facade zen-style placed with a couple of wooden benches facing the open stretch of sea.
My friends and I had some “business” to do at the Boardwalk. We reached there by taxi and paid P75.00 from Sto. Nino Church. Always remember that the Boardwalk (or SRP) can only be reached either by a private vehicle or a taxi.
The Boardwalk is good for family get-together, dates, friends’ picnic, etc. The place is clean (No Eating, No Drinking, No Fishing) and is guarded by the SRP Police. On a fine day, you would have fresh air from the sea. From the place, you’d see downtown Cebu. It felt like Hong Kong with less buildings.
The place is quite and peaceful. When I was there, I felt sleepy because of the unending blows of wind from anywhere. They say the Boardwalk is nicer at night. But I haven’t tried.
Cebu SRP Boardwalk
The Boardwalk is open from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The place is free just as long as you follow the rules. If you decide to go there on sunny day, I suggest you put on some sunblock even if you are shaded. The sea breeze would give you a tan, really (based on experience). And please make sure you have a car (or taxi) to send and fetch you from the place. Taxis don’t regularly pass by the area and when they do, they’re occupied.
Always remember, just enjoy, and follow the rules. Have fun!

La ko ga-endorse ui. Ga-shoot mi ug video diha. Wa lang ko ka-mention nga na-stranded mi ug around 2 hours diha kay wala jud taxi niagi (ok wa mi ga-anticipate ana) ug mga 2pm na mi nakahawa ug wa mi lunch. Ug karon niitom ko sama ra sa naligo ko ug dagat. Init man au ang hangin. So good if landong.
