The Web Hosting Fan Blogs!

Blogging 19 March 2010 0 Comments

I noticed that what I see mostly of sites that talk about web hosting are those that give out web hosting ratings and reviews. Now let’s sing another tune. While I see such kinds of sites to be useful for potential buyers, they may not be good sources of tips and guides for stuff related to web hosting. Why? ‘Coz they’re too specific! Let’s look the other way around.

Here’s a website named the Web Hosting Fan. I think it is more appropriate to call it a blog. Yes, blog. This blog is just starting to grow. With 16 RSS subscribers and 26 Twitter followers? That’s quite a number huh. I see it’s still in its baby steps. But I see potential.

Web Hosting Fan is a blog — your guide to web hosting. I guess it answers more questions of the type What kinds of servers should I acquire? rather than Is X Host better than Y host?, which is quite useful. We don’t want the Internet to be clogged up with X Host Is The Best Forum Hosting (which by the way I blogged about in my other blog).  We want information of course — useful information about web hosting and issues related to it. For example, Web Hosting Fan discusses some Important Tips to Prevent Site Downtime. Do you find that useful? For eCommerce people, yes it is. And another one, How To Protect Your Domain Ownership.

While the World Wide Web is filled with an indispensable amount of information about web hosting, it wouldn’t hurt to get back to those sites who are more dedicated to delivering quality information rather than selfishly seeping the traffic out of the internet people. I’m not telling you to visit Mr. Web Hosting Fan’s blog. But if you do, then tell me that you agree to everything what I said above.
