And so I heard, two Cebuanas made it as one of the finalists to the nationwide search for the PLDT MyDSL Watchpad Crew. The search for the ten finalists of the PLDT MyDSL Watchpad Crew ended last March and the selection came from thousands of entries from all over the Philippines. The 10 finalists has just been recently unveiled to the public. These finalists are not just selected because they look good from the outside, but also because of their unique personalities, love for the internet (of course), and a passion that includes arts, sports and social awareness. Simply put, the finalists are those who really stood out from the thousands of applicants. (Why didn’t I join anyways?? 
)
Out of the 10, two are from Cebu. And they will soon be in line with personalities such as Rhian Ramos, champion drifter Alex Perez, Isabel Oli, Gino de la Peña, Viktor Aliwalas and Steph Henares.
The first one is Carole “Blinky” de Leon (“The Do-Gooder”) from USC. I’ve seen her when she joined Ms. Cebu 2009 (since a friend also joined) and we got a picture! Blinky also hosts MagTV, a well-renowned Cebu TV Show together with a friend of mine, McBilly.
Bubbly 20 year-old Blinky, however busy she is, finds time for her interests. When she’s not in class or on cam, she spends her free time dancing, swimming, food-tripping and internet-surfing. Blinky uses the net for entertainment and to communicate with her loved ones.
The other Cebuana finalist is Dani Miranda (“Dan The Man”). I don’t know her. Why not? She’s a schoolmate! Since I’ve graduated already and she’s a sophie, I probably haven’t had the chance to know her at school.
She’s cool, funny, strong-willed and can be considered “one of the boys”. A sophomore in the University of the Philippines Cebu, 19-year old Dani slows down from the stresses of school life by shopping, eating and cooking for her friends. She also loves surfing the net especially to watch her favorite TV shows.
To make it to the final 5 new PLDT MyDSL Watchpad Crew, we must vote for Blinky and Dani online. Public voting is until May 23.
Rounding up the rest of the finalists are George Schulze, Mara Schnittka, Nikko Ramos, Goldameir Gamir, Arbie Baguios, Yassi Pressman, Paolo Villanueva and Jacqueline Milner.
